Biochemical characterization and structure determination of Fe/S proteins/complexes involved in Fe/S protein biogenesis
Description of tasks:
A protein factory focused on the identification and structural characterization of Fe/S proteins/complexes will be implanted
- Protein production of Fe/S proteins involved in Fe/S maturation
- Optimization of the experimental conditions for the production of holo proteins/complexes
- Biochemical and functional characterization of the new identified Fe/S proteins involved in Fe/S protein assembly
- Structure determination by X-ray of proteins involved in Fe/S protein biogenesis
- Structure determination by NMR of proteins involved in Fe/S protein biogenesis
- Structure determination of isolated protein-protein complexes
Description of deliverables
Deliverable 1: Experimental samples suitable for X-ray/NMR studies
Deliverable 2: Protocols for optimized metalation procedures
Deliverable 3: PDB coordinates files
Deliverable 4: Scientific paper onmolecular models of protein-protein complexes
